WordPress websites, built right and looked after

Sound familiar?

  • “Our WordPress site has 40 plugins, and nobody knows what half of them do.”
  • “Every update breaks something, so we stopped updating.”
  • “The page builder is so slow to edit that I avoid it.”
  • “The theme looked great in the demo and nothing like that with our content.”
  • “The person who set it up is gone, and so are the logins.”
  • “It gets hacked, cleaned and hacked again.”

What we do

We build WordPress sites the way we’d want to look after them: simple underneath, easy to edit on top.

How it works

  1. 1

    Talk and plan

    About 1 week

We learn your business and look at any current site. Then we agree in writing on the pages and the theme approach, and on the price.

  2. 2

    Design

    1–2 weeks

We design the key pages and write or edit the copy. You review, and we revise.

  3. 3

    Build

    2–4 weeks

We build the theme and set up the plugins. Once your content is in, we test on phones and computers.

  4. 4

    Launch and training

    2–3 days

We go live on hosting in your name, then walk you through editing, with a recording to keep.

Built right, from the inside

Most WordPress headaches start with choices made during the build: which theme and plugins you use, and who keeps them updated. Here’s how we handle each one.

  • Custom theme: fast and tidy

A theme coded for your site loads only what it uses. That makes it quicker, with fewer moving parts. The trade-off: big layout changes later need a developer.

  • Page builder: flexible, a bit heavier

Builders like Elementor, or WordPress’s own block editor, let you rearrange pages yourself. They add more code and can be slower, so we use them when you want that freedom and keep them lean.

  • Plugin discipline

Each plugin you don’t install is one less thing to update. It’s also one less door for attackers, and one less chance of two plugins clashing. We skip plugins that haven’t been updated in a long time and remove what isn’t used.

  • Updates and security

WordPress itself releases fixes often, and so do themes and plugins. Apply them on a schedule, with a backup first and a quick test after, and the site stays safe. A care plan can handle this every month.

  • Training you’ll actually use

A short session on the tasks you’ll really do, like editing a page, posting news or swapping a photo. You keep the recording.

Your hosting account and domain are in your name. The WordPress admin login is yours as well. We use our own user account, which you can remove at any time.

Questions we hear

Is WordPress still a good choice in 2026?

For many business sites, yes. It’s easy to edit and widely supported. You can also move it to any host you like. It does need regular updates, so it fits best when you have a care plan or someone who keeps it current.

Custom theme or page builder: which is better?

A custom theme is faster and tidier, but less flexible if you want to change layouts yourself. A page builder lets you rearrange pages without help but adds weight. We recommend one based on how often you plan to change things.

How many plugins is too many?

There’s no magic number. What matters is whether each plugin is needed, kept up to date and from a trusted source. A site with a few well-chosen plugins is far easier to keep safe than one with dozens nobody remembers installing.

Can you fix or take over my existing WordPress site?

Yes. We start by reviewing the theme and plugins. The hosting and security come next. Then we tell you whether to fix it, clean it up or rebuild it, and what each option costs.

What’s the difference between WordPress.org and WordPress.com?

WordPress.org is the free software you install on your own hosting, which gives you full control. WordPress.com is a hosted service run by the company Automattic. It has paid plans and some limits. For most business sites we recommend self-hosted WordPress, in a hosting account you own.

Who keeps the site updated after launch?

You can, and we’ll show you how. Many owners prefer to hand it to a care plan, where we apply updates after a backup, check that the site still works and handle small changes.

Will my WordPress site be secure?

We set it up with strong logins and two-step sign-in. Backups run regularly, and we use as few plugins as possible. No site is ever perfectly safe, but these steps stop most of the automated attacks that hit WordPress sites.
