What we do
Google Business Profile is the free listing that puts your business on Google Maps and in search, with your hours, photos, phone number and reviews. Here’s how we look after it.
Setup and verification
We create your profile or help you claim the one that already exists. Google chooses how each business verifies: a short video, say, or a code by phone or text, or a postcard. We get you ready for whichever one it asks for.
Categories
Google asks for as few categories as possible, and the most specific ones. We pick the main category that finishes the sentence “This business is a…” and add others only when they’re true.
Services and products
We list what you actually offer in plain words, so your profile can match more of the searches people make.
Photos
Your storefront, the inside, your team and your work. Real, recent photos help customers recognize the place, so we add new ones regularly and ask you for a few each season.
Updates
Short posts on your profile for offers, events, new services and holiday hours, so customers can see you’re open and active.
Answers to common questions
Parking, payment, languages spoken, wheelchair access. We put these details in your description and attributes, the checkboxes Google offers, so people get answers before they call.
Review replies
We draft replies to every review for you to approve, including the unhappy ones. Reviews that break Google’s rules, like spam or fake ones, we report through Google’s own tools.
Help if your profile is suspended
We find out what triggered it, fix what needs fixing and file the appeal with the paperwork Google asks for.
How it works
1
A quick check-up
1–2 days
We check who owns the profile, what’s wrong or missing, which categories your competitors use and whether duplicates exist.
2
Fix and verify
1–2 weeks
We correct the details and add your services and photos. Then we help you through verification. Google says its review can take up to five business days.
3
Monthly care
Ongoing
New photos and updates each month, plus replies to reviews and holiday hours. We also keep a close eye on edits that other people suggest to your profile.
4
A short monthly report
Monthly
How many people called, asked for directions or visited your website from your profile, and what we changed.
Google’s rules we follow
Google can suspend profiles that break its guidelines, and a suspended profile disappears from the map until it’s sorted out. We stick to the rules, and we’ll tell you if something you want would break them.
Your real business name
The name on your sign and your paperwork, nothing more. Google doesn’t allow taglines, service descriptions or neighborhood names stuffed into it, so “Best Plumber NYC Emergency 24/7” is out.
A real address
A precise location where you actually do business. P.O. boxes and remote mailboxes aren’t accepted.
No virtual offices
Google says virtual offices aren’t eligible. A coworking space only counts if it has your sign, your own staff there and customers received during your hours.
Hide the address if you go to customers
Plumbers and cleaners go to their customers. Businesses like that should hide their address and list the areas they serve instead.
One profile per location
Google allows one profile for each place of business. Duplicates confuse customers, so we find them and ask Google to remove them.
A phone number you control
Google wants a number that reaches your business directly. We use your main number, the same one on your website and listings.
If your profile is suspended, we appeal through Google’s own process. Google asks for proof such as a business license, registration papers or a utility bill, showing the same name and address as the profile.
What it costs
Starting at$300/mo
The monthly starting price covers ongoing care for one location. That means profile updates with new photos and posts, plus review replies. We also watch for unwanted edits and send a short monthly report.
Yes. Google doesn’t charge for the profile, and Google says you can’t pay it for a better local ranking either. What you pay us for is the time and know-how to set it up and keep it in good shape.
How do I verify my Google Business Profile?
Google decides which methods your business is offered, and you can’t swap them. The options include a recorded video, a live video call, a code by phone, text or email, or a postcard. We help you prepare so it goes through the first time.
Can I have a profile without a storefront?
Yes. If you go to your customers, you can hide your address and show the areas you serve. You still need a real place of business, because Google doesn’t accept virtual offices or mailboxes.
Why was my Google Business Profile suspended?
Usually something on it doesn’t match Google’s guidelines, like extra words in the name, an address Google can’t confirm or a duplicate listing. We review the profile and fix the problem. Then we file the appeal with the right proof.
Can I add keywords to my business name to rank higher?
Please don’t. It’s against Google’s guidelines and can get your profile suspended. Anyone can also suggest an edit to your name on Google, so a stuffed name can be reported by competitors.
Who owns the profile if you manage it?
You do. You stay the primary owner, and we join as a manager. That’s enough for us to do the work, but we can’t remove you or delete your profile.
Can other people change my profile?
Anyone can suggest edits to a business on Google, and Google sometimes accepts them. We check your profile regularly and correct changes that are wrong.
