We go through your website and your Google presence page by page, then hand you a short list of what to fix first and why. You can do the work with us, with your own developer or yourself.
What’s included
Full audit and written report, priority plan, walkthrough call
“Our visits from Google dropped and nobody can tell us why.”
“We’re about to redesign and don’t want to lose what’s working.”
“A free tool gave us a long report full of red warnings and no idea where to start.”
“Our SEO company says everything is fine. We’d like a second opinion.”
“Before we hire anyone, we want to know what actually needs doing.”
What we check
An SEO audit is a careful look at everything that affects how Google finds and reads your site, and where it ranks you. Tools help us collect the data, but a person reads every finding and decides what matters for your business.
Can Google find every page?
Which pages Google has in its index, which it skips, broken links, old addresses that lead nowhere and the sitemap, the list of pages your site hands to Google.
Speed and phones
How your pages load and behave on a phone, including Core Web Vitals, Google’s measures of how fast and steady a page feels to a visitor.
Pages and words
We look at page titles and headings, and at descriptions. We flag thin or duplicate pages, and services you offer that have no page of their own.
Local presence
Your Google Business Profile and your reviews, plus your listings on other sites. We also check that your name, address and phone match everywhere.
Competitors
Who shows up above you for the searches that matter, and what their pages and profiles have that yours don’t.
Links
Which sites link to you and which of those links help. And whether any risky ones were bought in the past.
Tracking
Are calls and forms counted at all? Bookings? And can the numbers you’ve been shown be trusted?
AI answers
A quick look at how ChatGPT and Google’s AI Overviews describe your business, and whether the facts are right.
How it works
1
Kickoff and access
1–2 days
A short call about your goals and worries. You give us view-only access to Google Search Console and Analytics; if you don’t have them, we set them up in your name.
2
The audit
5–8 days
We crawl the site and read the data. Then we check your profile and listings, and study your top competitors.
3
Report and plan
2–3 days
We write up what we found in plain English and sort the fixes by how much they matter and how hard they are.
4
Walkthrough call
About an hour
We go through the plan with you and whoever runs your site, and answer every question.
What you get, and how it differs from the free review
Two different things share the word “review” on our site. Here’s how the paid audit compares.
A report you can read
Each problem comes with why it matters to your business and how to fix it, in words you don’t need a dictionary for.
A plan sorted by priority
Quick wins first, then bigger jobs, each with a rough size of effort. You’ll know what to do on Monday.
A fixed price, agreed up front
You know the cost before we start. No hourly meter running in the background.
The free review is a first look
Our free website review is a short look at a few key things, and a way to get to know each other. The audit is the full examination, page by page, with a plan.
Yours to use with anyone
The plan doesn’t lock you in. Your developer can follow it, and so can you. Or ask us. It works the same either way.
An audit only reads your site and accounts. Nothing on your website changes until you decide what to fix and who will do it.
What it costs
Starting at$900
The fixed starting price covers a full audit of a typical business website for one location. The written report and priority plan are included, along with the walkthrough call.
We check how Google finds and reads your site, and how fast it is on a phone. Your pages and wording get read, along with your Google profile and listings. Competitors and links get a look too, and so does your tracking. You get a written report and a plan sorted by priority, then a call to go through it all.
How is this different from a free SEO tool?
Free tools list hundreds of warnings without telling you which ones matter. We read the findings with your business in mind and drop the noise, so you hear about the few things that will make a real difference.
How long does an SEO audit take?
For most business websites, one to two weeks from the day we get access. Large online stores or sites with many locations take longer, and we’ll tell you the date up front.
Do I have to hire you to make the fixes?
No. The plan is written so that any competent developer can follow it, or you can handle the simple items yourself. If you’d like us to do the work, we’ll quote it separately.
What access do you need?
View-only access to Google Search Console and Google Analytics, plus your Google Business Profile, if you have them. We don’t need your website password for the audit itself.
How often should I get an SEO audit?
Before a redesign, and after a sudden drop in traffic or calls. Otherwise roughly once a year, if search brings in a lot of your business. In between, a monthly SEO plan keeps an eye on things.
