Everything in Websites

Sound familiar?

  • “Our website looks like it was made ten years ago, and we know it.”
  • “People call to ask things the website should already answer.”
  • “On a phone, the menu covers everything and the buttons are too small to tap.”
  • “We don’t have a real website. Just an Instagram page and a Google listing.”
  • “The person who built our site moved on, and nobody knows the login.”
  • “We get visitors, but hardly anyone calls or fills out the form.”

What we do

A good website is a set of decisions about what your customers need to see and do. We make those decisions with you, then build the site around them.

How it works

  1. 1

    First, we listen

    1–2 days

A call or a visit to learn what you sell and who buys it. And what isn’t working now. We also look at your current site and a few competitors.

  2. 2

    Then, a clear plan

    3–5 days

You get a page list and a sense of the look. You also get a timeline and a fixed price, in writing, before any work starts.

  3. 3

    Design and words

    1–3 weeks

We design the key pages and write the copy. You give feedback, and we revise until it feels like your business.

  4. 4

    Build and launch

    1–3 weeks

We build the site and test it on phones and computers. Every form and button gets checked before we go live.

  5. 5

    Here after launch

    Ongoing, if you want it

A short training session so you can make simple changes yourself, and an optional care plan if you’d rather we handle updates.

What every site we build gets

Whatever the size of the project, these come standard. They’re not add-ons on a price list.

  • Works on every screen

Pages adjust to any screen, from a small phone to a wide monitor, and we check them at real phone sizes as well as on a desktop.

  • Fast loading

Our speed targets are stricter than Google’s own “good” line. We measure every page against them before launch.

  • Local search basics

Your name, address and phone shown the same way on every page. Plus schema markup: a small label in the code that tells Google what you do and where, down to your opening hours.

  • Forms you can count on

Every form is tested and protected from spam. We count what comes in, so you can see how many people reach out each month.

  • Accessible to more people

We build to the WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility guidelines: readable text, strong color contrast, keyboard access and labels that screen readers can announce.

  • Training for your own changes

A short, recorded walkthrough in plain words. It shows how to update your hours and prices, or swap a photo or a paragraph of text.

  • Everything in your name

The site itself belongs to you. So do the domain and hosting, and every Google account. We work with the access you give us, and you can take it all with you at any time.

Need a web app, a customer portal or custom software? That work is handled by DPI Enterprise, our parent company’s team for larger projects.

What it costs

Starting at $3,500

Business website, 5–10 pages

The starting price covers a business website of 5 to 10 pages. We plan the pages and give them a custom design, then write the copy. The build and launch are included, with training at the end. A starter site of up to five pages costs less, and our Pricing page lists both. You get a fixed price in writing before we begin.

What changes the price

  • How many pages you need
  • Whether we write all the copy or edit yours
  • Online booking, ordering or a store
  • How much content moves over from an old site
  • Connections to tools like a CRM or booking system
  • A second language, such as a Spanish version

Questions we hear

How much does a website cost in New York?

It depends mostly on the number of pages and what the site needs to do. Our Pricing page shows starting prices for a starter site, a business site and an online store. After a short call, you get a fixed price in writing, so there are no surprises halfway through.

How long does it take to build a website?

A starter site of up to five pages usually takes 3–4 weeks. A business site of 5 to 10 pages takes 5–8 weeks. What moves the date most is how quickly your photos and feedback come in.

Do I own my website?

Yes. Everything is registered to you: the domain and hosting, the site files, your Google accounts. We work with the access you grant. If you ever leave us, you keep everything.

Do you write the content?

Yes. We interview you and write the copy for every page. You review it and approve it. Rather write it yourself? We’ll edit your text and fit it to the design.

Will my website show up on Google?

We set up what Google needs to find you: Search Console, a sitemap, clear page titles and a link with your Google Business Profile. New pages usually start appearing within days to a few weeks. Ranking high for busy searches takes ongoing SEO, and anyone who promises a top spot is guessing.

Can I update the website myself?

Yes. At launch we walk you through the changes you’ll make most, and you keep a recording of it. If you’d rather not touch it, a care plan covers small changes for you.

What platform do you build on?

We pick the platform that fits how you’ll use the site. WordPress suits sites you’ll edit often, and Shopify or WooCommerce suits online stores. A simple site that rarely changes can be hand-built, so it’s very fast and needs little upkeep. We explain the choice in writing before we start.

Do you work with businesses outside New York?

Yes. Our studio is in Manhattan, and we also work with businesses across the US remotely. We meet over video for reviews and training, and it works well.
