Everything in Search

Sound familiar?

  • “We show up when people type our name, but not when they search for what we do.”
  • “We paid an SEO company for a year and still can’t tell what they did.”
  • “Visits went up, but the phone didn’t ring any more than before.”
  • “The shop down the street always comes up above us on Google.”
  • “Our website has three pages, and none of them say where we work.”
  • “Every week someone emails promising us page one. We don’t know who to trust.”

What we do

SEO, short for search engine optimization, is the work that helps Google understand your business and show it to people who are looking for it. Here’s what that looks like in practice.

How it works

  1. 1

We look before we touch anything

    1–2 weeks

We review your site and your Google profile, then look at your competitors and what people search for near you. You tell us which services matter most to your business.

  2. 2

    A written plan with priorities

    2–3 days

You get a short plan: what we fix first, which pages we add and what we’ll measure. Nothing starts until you agree to it.

  3. 3

    Foundations first

    2–4 weeks

We fix technical problems and rewrite weak titles and descriptions. Then we connect call and form tracking and build the pages that matter most.

  4. 4

    Steady monthly work

    Ongoing, reviewed monthly

Each month we add or improve pages, look after your local listings and send a report in plain English. You can ask us anything along the way.

What happens each month

SEO isn’t a switch you flip once. Here’s the work you can expect to see from us, month after month.

  • Technical check

We make sure your pages load and work on phones, and that Google can read them. Small problems get fixed before they grow into big ones.

  • Pages

We improve one or two service or location pages, starting with the ones closest to bringing in paying work.

  • Content

When a customer question deserves a full answer, we write it up in your voice and link it to the right service page.

  • Local

We post updates to your Google profile and keep your hours and details current everywhere. We also help you ask happy customers for reviews.

  • Honest links only

Links from other websites still count. We earn them through local groups, suppliers, sponsorships and real press. We never buy them, because Google treats paid link schemes as spam and can push a site down for it.

  • A report about calls, not jargon

One page. How many calls and bookings came from search, and how many forms. Which pages brought them in. What we plan to do next month.

No one can guarantee a top spot on Google. Google says so itself in its advice on hiring an SEO, and suggests you find someone else if they promise first place. What we promise is steady work you can see, and honest numbers. Expect the first changes within weeks and noticeable growth over several months.

What it costs

Starting at $1,200/mo

Questions we hear

How long does SEO take to work?

Technical fixes and better page titles can show up within a few weeks. Real growth in calls usually takes several months, and longer in crowded fields like law or dentistry in Manhattan. We show you progress every month, so you never have to guess.

Can you guarantee my business a top spot on Google?

No, and no honest company can. Google decides the order of results and changes how it does that all the time. We can promise careful work and a clear report on what it brings in.

What’s the difference between SEO and local SEO?

Local SEO focuses on Google Maps and on searches with a place in them, like “plumber in Astoria.” SEO covers your whole website and every search people use to find what you sell. Most local businesses need both, and our SEO plans include the local work.

Do I need a new website before starting SEO?

Usually not. We can work with most websites, whatever they’re built on. If your site is badly broken or very slow, we’ll say so plainly and walk you through the options before you spend anything.

What do you need from me?

A short call to learn how your business works, access to your website and Google accounts, and a few minutes each month to answer questions or approve new pages. You know your customers better than anyone, and the best pages use that knowledge.

Will I own the work if we stop?

Yes. Your website and your Google accounts stay in your name, and so do the pages and articles we write. If you ever stop working with us, everything stays right where it is.

How do I know it’s working?

We count every call and form request that came from Google, and every booking. Each month you get a short report in plain English, and we’re glad to walk you through it on a call.
